The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced this morning that there have been 36 reported and confirmed cases of COVID-19 at its hospitals.

According to the ECHA’s biweekly update, which includes numbers updated to reflect current case numbers, there have been 31 confirmed and reported cases of COVID-19 at Atmore Community Hospital with 363 specimens collects, 315 negative results, 16 pending and one inconclusive.

There have been five confirmed cases at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton with 181 specimens collects, 172 negative results, four pending and zero inconclusive.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there have been 33 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Escambia County with 679 specimens collected and three confirmed patient deaths.

In the state, there have been 9,048 confirmed cases so far with 117,301 specimens collected and 371 confirmed patient deaths, according to the ADPH.
