Registration for the Mayfest 2020 Beautiful Baby contest is now open, according to chamber officials.

Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce officials said in a release that the contest, which is sponsored by The Atmore Advance, will be held on Aug. 1, at 10:30 a.m. on the main gazebo in Tom Byrne Park.

Mayfest was rescheduled to July 31 and Aug. 1 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s contest will help kick off the Mayfest event, getting underway at 10:30 a.m. at the main gazebo in Tom Byrne Park. 

Advanced registration for the contest is required, according to a release. There will be no day of registration.

Registration fee is $20.

The winner of each category will receive a certificate and gift basket. Eligible age categories for the contest for boys and girls respectively are 3 months to under 1 year; 1 year olds; 2 year olds; and 3 year olds.
