Danny Edward Lane, 65, of Huxford, passed away on May 16, 2020.

He was born in Atmore on August 18, 1954 to the late Edward “Boss” and Jessie Dawson Lane.

Danny’s passion was farming with his beloved John Deere Tractors. He loved his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his two sisters, Bobbie (Charles) Lynam of Monroeville and Martha “Mot” (Steve) Wallace of Prattville; three nieces, Tina (Keith) Johnson, Mitzi (Brian) Thomas and Stephanie (Kevin) Joiner; seven great-nieces and nephews; one great-great niece; and one great-great nephew.

Funeral services were held May 21, 2020 from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Williams and Bro. Tad McMullen officiating.

Burial followed in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Enon.

Active pallbearers were Mark Murphy, Keith Johnson, Kevin Joiner, Michael Joiner, Rece Joiner and Jerry Vickery.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Coker, Ricky Middleton, Wayne Redditt, Glen Dreadin, Gerald Palmer, David Dreadin and Chris Robinson.

Visitation was held May 21, 2020 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
