Harrison announces reelection run for city council seat

Chris Harrison announced his intention to run for re-election for the Atmore City Council District 5 on Monday, where he has served in that office for the past eight years.

Harrison was born in Atmore, and has lived here his entire life.

He is the son oe Wayne and Barbara Harrison of Atmore.

Harrison has been married to Courtney for 19 years, and they have three children, Meredith, age 16; Harper, age 13; and Riley, age 11.

He is a 1992 graduate of Escambia County High School, and Reid State Technical College.

Harrison has been employed by Tiger-Sul Products in Atmore for 19 years, 13 of which were as the transportation manager.

“We can’t focus on just things that are popular, but we must focus on all the needs of our city,” Harrison said. “I have strived to provide full support for all city departments in order to have an efficient government with a fully-equipped and well-trained police, fire, street and sanitation departments, along with all of the other departments of the city of Atmore.

“My business experience for 19 years, and my experience as your councilman for the past eight years has provided me with the ability to better serve you for the next four years,” he said. “I humbly seek your support and vote on August 25, 2020.”
