Mr. James Earl Moye, 67, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020, in Bluffsprings, Fla.

Mr. Moye was born in Century, Fla. and lived in Flomaton for most of his life.

He was a member of Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle in Molino, Fla. for 43 years, former youth leader and member of the Lambeth VFD.

He was employed with Escambia (Ala.) Road Department, former employee of USA Concrete, Lanier Sand and Gravel and Roy Parker and Sons Gravel Co.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Devere Moye.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joan Darlene Moye of Flomaton; son, Nicholas James Moye of Flomaton; brothers, Curtis Moye of Flomaton and Robert (Anita) Moye of Flomaton; sisters, Sue (David) Raines of Flomaton and Glenda Moye of Flomaton; grandchildren, Anderson James Moye of Flomaton and Darcey Katherine Moye of Flomaton; mother of his grandchildren, Megan Knowles Moye of Flomaton; special aunt, Clara Stokes of Flomaton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held May 29, 2020 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Mill and Pastor Rusty Knowles officiating.

Burial followed at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

Visitation was held May 28, 2020 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Buford Lee, Robert Moye, Dale Shore, Mark Hales, Michael Gay and Randy Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Kennedy, Buddy O’Bannon, Lendy Hamm, Michael Burnham, Darryl Fore and Douglas Neal.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
