Mrs. Diane Cobb Holmes, 64, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at her home in Monroeville.

Mrs. Holmes was a native of Monroe County, a former resident of Escambia County, Ala. for 20 years and a resident of Monroeville for most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Wayne Holmes; her parents, Weldon Wesley Cobb Jr. and Mary Turberville; and three siblings, Charles Cobb, Ferrie Simmons and Wayne Cobb, a.k.a. “Corncobb.”

Survivors include four sons, Michael Crum and wife, Becky of Monroeville, Jason Crum and wife, LeSheri, and Jamie Crum and wife, Emily, both of Excel and Kendrell Madison of Atmore; a brother, Merle Dewayne Cobb and wife, Darlene of Excel; two sisters, Reecie Steadman and husband, Coy of Burnt Corn and Frances McKinley of Atmore; three half-sisters, Martha Gunter and husband, Russell of Thomasville, Patricia O’Hara and husband, David and Mary Hagemann and husband, Jeff, both of Montgomery; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held June 6, 2020 at Bryant Cemetery in Finchburg with the Rev. Billy House officiating.
