Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Thirty years ago, in 1990, Brian McGill, a graduate of Escambia County High School, was to play in the NAIA World Series in Idaho.
He was playing baseball for AUM (Auburn University at Montgomery) at the time and he was having a good year.
I remember Brian McGill because my son was playing for Faulkner University at the time and they knew each other.
Multivision Cable announced it was adding WJTC to the scheduled lineup.
Escambia County High School graduate Chad Helton signed a tennis scholarship with Jefferson Davis Junior College.
John Fields, a 1984 graduate of Flomaton High School, recently graduated from the Alabama State Trooper Academy. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Fields and was assigned to Troop D in Tuscaloosa. I remember John. I interviewed him a couple of times and I loved the way he played the bagpipes. I know he must be retired by now, but I don’t know if he still plays.
Double D Grocery Store had some of their good deals of the day. They had toilet tissue for 79 cents for a 4-roll package; ground beef for $1.29 a pound; and eggs for 50 cents a dozen.
I chose those things because we can relate to them. I haven’t been out shopping but they tell me the prices on those items are outrageous. In case you did not know, I am now living at an assisted living home and we will be among the last to get to break quarantine.
Atmore officials said repair of the Old Atmore City Park would have to wait for funds. It was needed and even the pool wouldn’t hold water.
The pilot slated to fly a marijuana search in Escambia County, was killed when his plane crashed into a light pole.
