ECHA: 73 confirmed cases of COVID-19

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today there have been 73 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported out of its two hospitals in the county.

The latest numbers reported included an increase of 15 cases from June 5.

According to ECHA’s biweekly update, there have been 62 confirmed cases reported at Atmore Community Hospital, and 11 cases at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital.

At ACH, 586 specimens have been collected with 511 negative results, 11 pending and two inconclusive.

At DWM, 325 specimens have been collected with 307 negative results, six pending and zero inconclusive.
The ECHA updates these numbers twice a week to reflect current case numbers. Due to the timing of the information, the numbers may differ from the numbers on the Alabama Department of Public Health’s website.

According to the ADPH, there have been 93 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported with 1,520 specimens collected and three confirmed deaths in Escambia County, Ala.
