Mr. Robert Ray Stewart, 65, passed away on Fri., June 26, 2020, in Mobile. 

Mr. Stewart was a native of Bay Minette and resided in the Rabun and Perdido area for most of his life.

He was retired from the Alabama Road Department with 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting grass and being outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Darlene Foster Stewart; parents, John R. “Shorty” and Muriel Brown Stewart; sister, Ruby Stewart Davis; and brother-in-law, Millard S. Davis.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Casey and Lacey Stewart of Bay Minette; one daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Bradley Lawley of Bay Minette; three brothers, Charles (Linda) Stewart of Mt. Vernon, Freddie (Sandy) Stewart of Perdido and William Stewart of Perdido; five grandchildren, Lane, Leigh Ann, Chloe, Valley and Emery; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral services were held on June 30, 2020 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Don Sanks and Bro. Michael Hadley officiating.

Burial followed at the Hall’s Fork Cemetery.

Visitation was held June 30 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Freddie Stewart, William Stewart, DeWayne Stewart, Christopher Stewart, Jacob Stewart and Barry “Trot” Fullerton.

Honorary pallbearer was be Brad Lawley.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
