Brandy Giger announced July 7 on her Facebook page her intention to run for the District 4 seat for the Atmore City Council.

“After much consideration, I have decied to run for Atmore City Council District 4,” Giger said. “I am a dedicated citizen of Atmore, where I am active in several community organizations, many of which support the revitalization efforts for downtown Atmore.”

Giger said she would like to continue her role in the economic development and growth of Atmore.

“I am asking for your support and vote in this election Aug. 25,” she said.

Giger, an Atmore native, is married to Zac, and the couple have two children, Addison and Bryce.
