COVID-19: ECHA announces 334 confirmed cases in update

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today there have been 334 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported out of its two hospitals.

The latest update is an increase of 21 cases since July 14.

According to ECHA’s biweekly update, there have been 268 confirmed cases reported at Atmore Community Hospital, and 66 cases at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital.

At ACH, 1,419 specimens have been collected with 1,035 negative results, 114 pending and two inconclusive.

At DWM, 606 specimens have been collected with 484 negative results, 53 pending and three inconclusive.
The ECHA updates these numbers twice a week to reflect current case numbers. Due to the timing of the information, the numbers may differ from the numbers on the Alabama Department of Public Health’s website.

According to the ADPH, there have been 571 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported with 3,716 specimens collected and 12 confirmed deaths in Escambia County, Ala.
