Man was arrested today in Atmore on outstanding warrant
A Bay Minette man was arrested in Atmore today on child sex abuse charges, according to a release.

According to the Bay Minette Police Department’s Facebook page, Corneise Colins Payne, 29, has been charged with rape I.
“On Feb. 7, 2020, the Bay Minette Police Department was made aware of a sex abuse allegation by a parent of a child under 12 years of age,” the BPD’s post said. “Through the course of this investigation officers were able to determine that 29-year-old Corneise Colins Payne of Bay Minette had forceable sex with a minor child under 12 years of age.”
According to the BPD’s Facebook page, investigators developed sufficient probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for the rape charge on July 17, 2020. He was arrested for the outstanding warrant today in Atmore.
At present, Payne is in the Baldwin County Jail and is awaiting a bond hearing.
The investigation is ongoing and no other information is available in regard to the arrest.
