The Escambia County Healthcare Authority released its latest COVID-19 numbers from its two hospitals.

There have been 771 reported cases of the coronavirus from both hospitals, an increase of 27 since Aug. 28.

Five-hundred-and-forty cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, while 231 have been reported out of D.W. McMillan Memorial.

At ACH, 2,486 specimens have been collected with 1,895 negative results, 11 pending and 40 inconclusive.

At DWM, 1,168 specimens have been collected with 898 negative results, 15 pending and 24 inconclusive.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there have been 1,234 confirmed cases in Escambia County with 22 confirmed patient deaths.
