Mr. Jasper R. Stewart, 89, passed away on Tues., Sept. 1, 2020 in Bay Minette.

Mr. Stewart had resided in Bay Minette for most of his life. He retired from Scott Paper Co. as a pipe fitter with 27 years of service, was a former accountant with Loper Company and a veteran of the Korean conflict serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Bay Assembly of God.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ransom and Millie Stewart; brother, Elwood “Bub” Stewart; and sister, Evie Carson.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eloise Stewart of Bay Minette; three daughters, Darlene (Gary) Robbins of Robertsdale, Yolanda (Tony) Hall of Bay Minette and Rita Stewart of Tullahoma, Tenn.; one son, Scott O’Neal (Sherri) Stewart of Summerdale; two brothers, Felton (Juanetta) Stewart of Bay Minette and Carl (Miriam) Stewart of Bay Minette; one sister, Rochelle White of Bay Minette; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Sept. 5, 2020 at the Bay Assembly of God with the Rev. Chester Clark and Pastor Steve Pettis officiating.

Burial followed at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joseph Robbins, Cameron Stewart, Kevin Parham, Jacob Farnell, Timmy Mons and Randall Carson.

Honorary pallbearers were Gary Robbins, Tony Hall, Felton Stewart, Carl Stewart, Winfred Sims, Aubrey McGhee, Steve Sexton, Aubrey Yarbrough and Hubbard “Junior” Hall.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
