City adopts grass, weed nuisance on 34 properties

The Atmore City Council adopted a grass and weed nuisance resolution for 34 properties within city limits at its meeting on Sept. 14.

The resolution gives the city the authority to send notices to each property, and signs in the yards. After 21 days, the notice will expire, and the city will come back with another resolution asking property owners permission to mow their properties.

In other business, the council:

• tabled a Mediacom agreement for the next council meeting as the city hasn’t received the agreement;

• approved an ABC License for retail beer and table win for Express Mart 6 (325 N. Main St.) and Express Mart 7 (901 W. Nashville Ave.); and,

• adopted resolution 2020-18 for pollw workers for the runoff election on Oct. 6.
