Flooding forecast changed for Perdido River, near Barrineau Park

A forecasted flooding has changed from moderate to major severity and increased in duration for Perdido River, near Barrineau Park, affecting Baldwin and Escambia Counties, according to the National Weather Service.

The flood warning continues for the Perdido River, near Barrineau Park from Wednesday morning to Sunday morning;

• At 1 p.m. the stage was 22.8 inches;

• Flood stage is 13 feet;

• Major flooding is forecast as the crest is forecast to surpass the flod of record.

• The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 27.2 feet early Thursday morning.

• The river will fall below the flood stage Sunday morning.
