Escambia County Schools System Superintendent John Knott announced today that all schools and administrative offices will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 17, in the aftermath of Hurricane Sally.

“All school activities and functions are cancelled,” Knott said. “We will continue to monitor conditions and communicate with emergency officials as we move through recovery from the hurricane. Please be mindful the current forecast may change.”

Knott said the system will monitor the weather closely and will send updates.

“Please stay tuned to local radio and TV, your weather radio and/or Alert FM receiver for changing weather conditions and warnings,” he said. “Please follow safety procedures as conditions warrant. We will continue to monitor conditions and communicate with emergency officials as the system moves through our area tomorrow.”
