Escambia County throttled Monroe County 35-6 in a delayed homecoming contest Friday night in Atmore.

The Blue Devils led MCHS 21-0 at halftime.

Head football coach Scott Mason said late in the game, the team got tired because of the late start, and it was homecoming. The game didn’t kick off until around 8:30 p.m. because the officials didn’t arrive until shortly before hand.
