Mrs. Marie Mitchell, 83, passed away on Tues., Sept. 15, 2020, at her home in Atmore. 

Mrs. Mitchell was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was of the Assembly of God Faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Eunice Hobbs. 

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Mitchell of Atmore; three sons, Keith Mitchell of Atmore, Ronnie Mitchell of Atmore and Mike Mitchell of Wetumpka; and four grandchildren, Brad Mitchell of Dothan, Tyler Mitchell of Auburn, Travis Mitchell of Dothan and Rachel Mitchell of Wetumpka. 

Funeral services were held on Sept. 26, 2020 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Gipson officiating. 

Burial followed at the Serenity Garden Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brad Mitchell, Tyler Mitchell, Travis Mitchell, Riley Mitchell, Murvin Gipson and Jack Mitchell.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
