Mrs. Patricia Claudine Powers, 60, passed away on Thurs., Sept. 24, 2020, at her home in Nokomis. 

Mrs. Powers was a native of Austin, Texas, and had resided in Nokomis for the past 20 years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt; and she was of the Methodist Faith. 

She is survived by her two sons, Jackie (Betty) Powers Jr. of Milton, Fla. and Oscar Powers of Nokomis; one daughter, Patricia Ann Powers (Charles Rice Jr.) of Nokomis; one sister, Cynthia Ruth Landrum of Nokomis; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held this Fri., Oct. 2, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Ullrich. 

Burial will follow at the Jay Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held tomorrow, Thurs., Oct. 1, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jackie D. Powers, Jr., Oscar L. Powers, Kevin Slack, Cody Evans, Aubrey Weaver and Clarence R. Powers. 

Honorary pallbearer will be Loyd Brazwell.
