Christine S. Sowell, 90, of Mobile, went to her heavenly home on Oct. 10, 2020.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1929 in Monroe County to the late Rufus and Tommie Beatrice Hammac Sanspree.

She was a lifetime member of First Assembly of God Church in Atmore.

She was a precious saint of God and prayer warrior. She loved God, her family and her friends deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Charlotte Johnson, Sandra Cottrell and Gloria Goodman; and her husbands, Millard Johnson, Eugene Foster and Lafayette Sowell.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Randy) Hogan and Annette (Gary) Odem; her son, Virgil (Dawn) Sowell; her son in law, David Cottrell; her sister, Pat Hobbs; numerous beloved grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held tomorrow, Thurs., Oct. 15, 2020 at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Atmore with Bro. Don Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 15, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Atmore.

Active pallbearers will be the First Assembly of God’s Monday Night Prayer Meeting Men.
