Mrs. Mary Inez Long, 82, passed away on Tues., Oct. 13, 2020 in Montgomery.

Mrs. Long was a native of Bay Minette, former resident of Cantonment, Fla. (10 years) and had resided in Canoe for the 49 past years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She retired from Vanity Fair as a seamstress with 25 years of service. She loved visiting friends, drinking coffee, gardening and she attended the Canoe First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Harold Long; daughter, Donna Sheree Long; parents, Morgan and Adies Durant; three sisters; and three brothers.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela (Greg) Green of Canoe and Sonya Kaye (Farrel) Johnson of Stephens City, Va.; one brother, John (Jeanette) Durant of Bay Minette; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Oct. 16, 2020 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Kyle Sanders officiating.

Burial followed at the Serenity Garden Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kyle Sanders, Farrel Johnson, Ethan Johnson, TJ Fox, Derek Durant and Zack Bain.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
