Keontae D. McCants was a longtime resident of Mobile. He was born on June 2, 1995.

Keontae departed this life on Tues., Sept. 29, 20202.

He confessed Christ an an early age and he was a member of the Prayer Tabernacle Early Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Bishop Cornelius Woods.

He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Bendolph; grandparents, Hazel Bendolph-Creagh and Annie Thigpen Miller; one aunt, Lytyna McCants-Pettway; one uncle, Willie Bettis; and a devoted cousin, Donald McCants Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories a special friend, Asia Manuel; two beautiful daughters, Kesleigh and Kayleigh McCants of Mobile; his devoted mother, Sonjan McCants-Bendolph; four brothers, Kevin (Tyshunda) McCants, Darrion (Brielle) Johnson, Antonio (Amber) McCants and Laquonte (Tamaya) McCants; his one and only sister, Siyunia McCants of Mobile; six aunts, Annie Miller, Tonya Bendolph, Theresa Gilchrist, Daphnee (Anthony) Frieson, Adella Stanford and Truzella Braggs, all of Mobile; eight uncles, Ervin (Darlene) Miller, Donald (Darlene) McCants, Karlos (Melanie) McCants, Darrin (Rebbie) Miller, Kenneth (Alice) Bendolph, all of Mobile, Michael (Shirley) Miller of Atlanta, Ga. and Andre Bendolph of Seattle, Wash.; and many friends, nephews, cousins, nieces and other relatives.

Pallbearers included Matthew Campbell, Jeremy Jackson, Kevin McCants, Tyron Finklea, Karlos McCants, Kirk Todd, Kendrick Winston, Franklin Ridgeway and Jewett Davis.

Flower bearers included family and friends.

Interment was held in Whispering Pines Cemetery in Eight Mile, and the service was entrusted to Mayberry Funeral Home of Atmore.
