City officials: Sally debris removal complete

City of Atmore officials announced today that the Hurricane Sally debris removal is complete.
Debris grinding and removal of approximately 1,200 loads (43,000 cubic yards) will begin this Sun., Oct. 25.
According to a release, debris grinding will occur between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and the chips will be used for cover material at the city’s landfill.
Restoration of the old Escambia County Middle School, which housed the disposal management site, will occur as soon as grinding and hauling operations are complete.
