COVID-19: ECHA reports 848 positive cases

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced Oct. 27 that there have been 848 positive COVID-19 cases reported out of its two hospitals.
According to a release, there have been 597 cases reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 251 cases out of D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton.
According to the ECHA, there have been 2,897 tests performed, 2,243 negative results, 14 pending and 43 inconclusive at ACH.
At DWM, there have been 1,365 tests performed, 1,082 negative results, six pending and 26 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there have been 1,749 positive cases in Escambia County with 31 deaths. More than 8,600 tests have been performed.
