At the direction of our Circuit Judge Jeffrey Alan White, jury terms will resume in January 2021 as scheduled, he said.

According to an administrative order regarding the jury term, distirct attorney and defense counsel are encouraged to use the week of Dec. 14 to discuss settlement. A circuit judge will be available to take pleas, and all other large dockets will be managed by the judge presiding over said docket to mitigate the risk to the public and court personnel.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time,” Fountain said.
