An Atmore family and friends helped serve some 130 folks lunch during Gordon’s Giving on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26 in Boland Hall at St. Robert’s Bellarmine Catholic Church.
The lunch was a collective effort by Randy and Melissa Nichols, along with their daughter, Walton, and friend, Wendy Classen, there were even left overs after all first responders were served.
Melissa said Gordon’s friends, Kyle Parish and Austin Eicher, called her to ask if they could help with the lunch.
Meals were also given to hospital employees and employees of a local healthcare facility.
The Nichols held the lunch to thank the first responders for their support after their son, Gordon, passed away last Thanksgiving.
