Escambia County tops Flomaton 49-30

Escambia County’s Sheldon Williams scored 14 points to help lead the Blue Devils to a 49-30 victory over Flomaton tonight at home.
Hakeem Johnson chipped in nine points, and Stephen Williams contributed with eight points.
The Blue Devils led 11-4 after the first period with the aid of Johnson and Sheldon Williams.
In the second period, ECHS put the ball game away taking a 23-7 lead. Stephen Williams scored all eight of his points in the second as the Blue Devils lead 29-13 at the break.
Flomaton got in a buzzer-beater before halftime.
FHS then went on to outscore ECHS 9-7 in the third period, and 11–8 in the fourth.
Tyson Moore had five points; Kaiden Arnold added four points; and Jeremiah George scored three points for ECHS.
Jackson Dullard led FHS with 12 points.
In girls action, the Lady Hurricanes defeated the Lady Blue Devils 51-20.
Escambia County’s boys and girls begin county tournament play next Thurs., Dec. 10, at home against T.R. Miller. Flomaton hosts W.S. Neal.
