During the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, there’s always a staple in some newsrooms – Santa letters.

Each year, The Atmore Advance, along with other newsrooms, sends out requests to local schools to have students in grades K-3 write letters to Santa, requesting what they desire for Christmas this year.

The task, while long and somewhat repetitive, is always rewarding in the end.

Now, there are some really cutely-written letters and others written requesting something for their parents or to bring a loved one back home from being away a long while.

Those stand out, let me tell you.

We dedicate a lot of time to typing, as is, what children wish for every Christmas and again, it’s quite rewarding in the end.

Take the time to read what is on the heart and minds of the area children.
