Mrs. Susan Manac Wicker, 66, passed away on Thurs., Dec. 17, 2020 in Pensacola, Fla.

Mrs. Wicker was a native and life long resident of Atmore. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Charles. She loved her children, grandchildren, St. Anna’s Church and the Poarch Creek Tribe. She loved Christmas, Halloween and cats. She was a member of the Poarch Creek Indians and St. Anna’s Episcopal Church. She was employed with the Poarch Creek Indians with 31 years of service, where she served as housing director for 25 years and served two terms on Tribal Council from 1983-1989 and 1991-1994 as treasurer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Leola Manac; and four brothers.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Earl Wicker of Atmore; one son, Brian “Pete” and Maria Wicker of Land O’Lakes, Fla.; one daughter, Tawana and Ross Parham of Poarch; one sister, Sarah Margaret Rone of Poarch; six grandchildren, Destiny Embry, Torey Wicker, Jude Parham, Charleigh Parham, Jayden Wicker and Abigail Wicker; one great-grandchild, Mary Kenneth Embry; and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Mon., Dec. 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Father Mike Hill officiating.

Burial will follow at the Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today, Sun., Dec. 20, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jayden Wicker, Jude Parham, Larry Faircloth, Jerry Faircloth, Justin Davis and Justin Hiebert.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC in Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
