Mr. Ewing “Pete” Weaver, Jr., 67, passed away on Sat., Dec. 19, 2020 in Mobile.
Mr. Weaver was a native of Perdido and had resided in Crossroads for the past 62 years. He was retired from the Baldwin County Board of Education with 31 years of service. He was a farmer and member of the Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ewing Sr. and Mary Weaver; two brothers, Ray Weaver and Lum Weaver; and three sisters, Vidla Williams, Alberta Sanders and Diane Gerbige.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nora J. Weaver of Crossroads; special great-nephew, J.B. Williams of Cedartown, Ga.; three brothers, Ollie (Dinna) Weaver of Whitehouse Fork, Michael Weaver of Crossroads and Ronnie (Pauline) Weaver of Crossroads; 26 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held today, Wed., Dec. 23, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Philip Weaver, Steven Gerbige, Cecil Weaver, Warren Mosley, Norman Hadley and Rodney Kirchharr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Weaver, Joseph Weaver, Jonathan Weaver and Charlie Williams.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC in Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
