Atmore Community Hospital announced Tuesday that its employees received the first rounds of the COVID-19 vaccine.
“Thanks to a partnership between Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and Atmore Community Hospital (AHC), COVID-19 vaccination clinic starts this week,” ACH officials said on its Facebook page. “Hospital staff are able to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine through this joint clinic partnership. Vaccinations are being given based on the Alabama Department of Public Health vaccination allocation guidelines.
“Initially, for frontline healthcare workers, including clinical and non-clinical, in hospitals and nursing homes, and home health, physicians and their office staff, EMS personnel and other first responders,” officials said.
ACH and ADPH will continue to offer vaccination clinics following the Alabama Department of Public Health’s vaccination allocation guidelines, the post read.
“We will continue to communicate additional information as becomes available and as we are able to expand the population which we will be able to include in our clinics,” officials said.
Officials said remember to wear your masks, wash your hands and keep your social distancing standards in place.
