ECMS holds annual spelling bee
Escambia County Middle School held its annual schoolwide spelling bee today, Jan. 7, 2021.
Scott Benton served as the pronouncer, along with judges, Dr. Valarie Smith, Hope Lassiter and Sara Chavers.
John Barlow, a fifth grader, won the fourth to fifth grade category; and Imari Lemon, a seventh grader, won in the sixth to eighth grade category.
The winners will compete in the county wide spelling bee, Wed., Jan. 20, 2021, at Flomaton.
