Mr. Berone Banks, 84, of Atmore, answered the master’s call on Wed., Jan. 6, 2021 at his residence. 

A native of Atmore (Freemanville Community) Banks lived for over 40 years in Newburg, N.Y., where he worked for the DuPont Company.

He enjoyed fishing and watching westerns.

Those left to cherish fond memories of his life are his two daughters, Mary (Chester) Dawson of Atmore and Linda Banks (Dwayne) of Raeford, N.c.; four sisters, Janice (the Rev. Orsby) Millender and Minnie Banks, all of Atmore, Geneva Banks of Covington, Ga. and Gladys Banks of Hartford, Conn.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be held this Fri., Jan 15, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be Sat., Jan. 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Bishop Bernard Bishop officiating and Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
