Mr. JW Nichols, 77, passed away on Mon., Jan. 11, 2021 in Pensacola, Fla.

Mr. Nichols was born in Wallace and had resided in the Byrneville-McDavid, Fla. area for most of his life. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved Florida football, boxing and fishing. He was a retired driller with Layne Central with 12 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Odel Nichols; and three brothers, Alfred Nichols, William Nichols and Charles Ray Nichols.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Nichols of McDavid; one son, Jay Wesley (Theresa) Nichols of Atmore; two step-sons, Chris (Cole) Champion of Monroeville and Eddie (Tracy) Champion of Uriah; two daughters, Tina Nichols (John) Richerson of Brewton and Kristie Hamilton of McDavid; two brothers, Lee (Jean) Nichols of Flomaton and David (Janice) Nichols of Semmes; 12 grandchildren; 12 grandchildren, Morgan Nichols Smith, Annah Nichols Hammond, Tiffany Richerson Busby, Bradley, Kaylee, Jacob, Brittney, Erica, Karlee, Addison, Zachary and Sadie; and four great-grandchildren, Evalyn, Jaycelyn, Ramsey Jay (RJ) and Addison.

Funeral services will be held this Sat., Jan. 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Rickey Tedder officiating.

Burial will follow at the Byrneville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held tomorrow, Fri., Jan. 15, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Allen Hampton, Chase Hampton, Chris Kinley, Larry Kinley, Nolen Lorezana and Tony Franklin.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC in Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
