Missionary Carolyn Loretta Bryant-Brown, 64, formerly a native of the Freemanville Community and resident of Atmore, where she peacefully transitioned on Tues., Jan. 12, 2021 at 3:08 a.m. in the arms of her loving son, Bernard L. Bryant and by those she loved dearly.

Carolyn has left an inedible legacy on the tapestry of time to be mirrored by her caring husband, Elder Jasper Lee Brown Sr. of 33 years; a very devoted son whom she loved unconditionally, Bernard Lee Bryant; her only surviving sibling, Deaconess Shellie (Deacon Eddie Ray) Sharp; and a Godson she nurtured as her own, Minister De’Marcous Moton, all of Atmore. Including a vast selection of relatives, nieces, nephews and devoted friends. A more detailed and formal obituary will be disbursed at the celebratory service.

Bryant-Brown began her Christian journey from the grounds of Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church No.1 under the leadership of the late the Rev. Dr. N.L. Robinson until she joined in holy matrimony with Elder Jasper L. Brown in 1988. She joined the Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ, Century, Fla., where she became the assistant pastor’s wife and serve it diligently and humbly for 32 years. She was a wonderful wife and mother, and will be truly missed.

Services has been arranged for this Sat., Jan. 23, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center located on (514 Peachtree Street) in the vicinity of Atmore. Please be advised that according to guidelines provided by CDC (Centers for Disease Control) will be strictly enforced, therefore, governed yourselves accordingly and practice what has been implemented. Her remains has been entrusted to the care of Mayberry Funeral Home, 149 Carver Ave. of Atmore. The public viewing has been scheduled between the hours of 2-6 p.m. this Fri., Jan. 22, 2021. All floral arrangements, resolutions and proclamations can be sent to Mayberry Funeral Home.

Prophet Shawn Williams is the expeditor; and Elder Jason A. Potts is the eulogist. Internment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery.
