Mr. William “Buddy” “Sarge” Wilson Sr., 66, passed away on Sun., Jan. 24, 2021 in Pensacola, Fla.

Mr. Wilson was a native of Atmore and had resided in Century, Fla. for most of his life. He loved his wife, children, especially his grandchildren and hunting. He was a 1973 graduate of Century High School. He retired from the Alabama National Guard with 27 years of service, was a veteran of Iraqi Freedom and was retired from Georgia Pacific Papermill will 28 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Levonia Hammond Wilson; brothers, Alton Wilson Jr., Nollon Wilson and Comer Wilson; and sisters, Juanita Driskell and Nadine McCaw.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose Odom Wilson of Century; two sons, William Willie Wilson Jr. of Flomaton and Jeremiah Jack (Lindsey) Wilson of Century; one brother, Charles (Cathy) Wilson of Century; six sisters, Sylvia (Carl) Godwin of Century, Shirley (Lavon “Whitey”) White of Century, Faye (Bobby) McGill of Pensacola, Fla.; twin, Willine (Preston) Bryan of Byrneville, Fla., Lois Aboud of Plano, Texas and JoAnn Driskell of Alabama; two grandchildren, Natalee Mae Wilson and Jaxon Noah Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Fri., Jan. 29, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with Bro. Tim Floyd officiating.

Burial will follow at the Beulah Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held Jan. 29, 2021 from 1 p.m. until service time at the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.

Pallbearers will be the Kevin Bryan, Logan Bryan, Jeremy Grimes, Keith Strickling, Lucas Blair and Carl Emmons.

Due to COVID-19, the family request mask and social distancing.
