Escambia County Schools (Ala.) officials said today that schools will be in session tomorrow.

According to the ECSS Facebook page, school officials have been monitoring the projected weather conditions for tomorrow and received updates from the county emergency management system, the National Weather Service and local weather officials.

“We will monitor weather conditions closely and send updates or changes as needed,” officials said.

Escambia Academy Headmaster Hugh Fountain said this afternoon that school has been canceled tomorrow because of the weather. Normal classes will resume on Wednesday.

Escambia County School District (Fla.) officials announced that schools will be closed tomorrow due to icy road conditions.
