Mr. Gween Dale “Pop/Big Daddy” Findley, 78, passed away on Wed., Feb. 24, 2021 at his home in Flomaton. 

Mr. Findley was born in Century, Fla. and had resided in Flomaton for most of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Voncille Findley; brother, Russell Findley; and grandson by love, James Fuqua.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elvennia Findley of Flomaton; three sons, Greg Findley (DeAnna Ross) of Flomaton, Destry (Tammy) Findley of Flomaton and Jack Taylor of Montgomery; two daughters, Kris (Todd) White of Pollard and Katie Findley of Flomaton; one sister, Judy (Woodrow) Courtney of Flomaton; sister in law, Karen Cash of Flomaton; special aunt, Beulah Nisewonger; four grandchildren, Blakelee (Bo) Ramer, Peyton (Tyler) Smith, Cade White and Paige Findley; special great-great niece, Lyla Rolin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, brothers and sisters in law and many friends.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Sat., Feb. 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Johnson and Bro. Brian Richburg officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Pleasant Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today, Feb. 26, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Cade White, Marion Cooper, Gene Carpenter, Jack Taylor, Wendell Richburg and David Nisewonger.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Richburg, Guin Butler, Woodrow Courtney and Tony Richburg.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC in Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
