Teams have until March 24, 2021 to take advantage of the early-bird registration special for the Atmore Rotary Club’s Benefit Clay Shoot, which will be held on April 10 at Bushy Creek Clays.

The annual clay shoot is held to raise funds for the many local projects supported by the club.

Cost of registration for a team of four by March 24 is $400, or $25 less per shooter. Any registration afterward and on shoot day is $500 per four-person team.

The shoot format is teams of four to shoot a round of 100 targets each from 14 stations. Each person will shoot between six to eight targets at each station.

After all teams have finished their round, the scores for each team will be tallied and the team with the highest number of hits will win the event.

Shells will not be included and must be provided by the shooter. Each shooter should bring 110 shells at a minimum.

Eye and ear protection must be worn, and carts are limited and must be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Participants can bring golf carts or utility vehicles as well.

Teams can also register on the day of the shoot at 8 a.m. A safety meeting will be at 9, and then a shotgun start is slated for 9:30 a.m. Lunch and team awards will follow.
