The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce announced Monday that after weighing its options in regard to going forward with Easter in the Park this year, and with COVID-19 still a concern, the chamber decided to not move forward with the annual event in the park.

However, the Easter Bunny will be stopping by houses the night before Easter, Sat., April 3, to deliver eggs for children to wake up to the next morning.

The eggs will be candy filled, however, if there’s a food allergy or sensory-impairment, where the child can’t have candy, the chamber will fill the egg with non-edible surprises.

The cost for 25 eggs is $25; 50 eggs is $35; and 100 eggs is $60.

The Easter Bunny will make rounds from Atmore (Freemanville, Nokomis, McCullough, Booneville, Huxford and Canoe included) all the way to Uriah, Flomaton and Walnut Hill, Fla., according to chamber officials.

Contact the chamber at 251-368-3305 or email Anna Norton, executive director, at director@atmorechamber.com to set up the Easter Bunny’s visit.
