Mr. Trammel Douglas Hale, 83, passed away on Wed., March 10, 2021 at his home in Atmore.

Mr. Hale was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County.

He is preceded in death by his son, Douglas Allen Hale; his parents, Novy Lee Hale and Myrtle Cook Hale; and two brothers, Clark Hale and Donald Beasley.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth Hale of Atmore; three daughters, Connie Hale of Atmore, Teresa Land and husband, John, of Atmore, and Kathy Griffin and husband, Chuck of Uriah; one brother, Rodney Hale and wife, Dena of Belleair, Fla.; three sisters, Sue Mahoney of Bagdad, Fla., Sandra “Boots” O’Brien of California and Linda Peacock and husband, Bernard of Stockton; five grandchildren, Tansey Espey and husband, Gerry, Tracey Nelson and husband, Rodney, Tiffany Land, Steven Lassiter and wife, Kelsey and Mary Kathrine Salter and husband, Hunter; and six great-grandchildren, Jase Lassiter, Harper Ann Salter, John Fisher Salter, Brit Smith, Liam Chavers-Nelson and Gerri-Ryann Espey.

Private services for the family will be held at a later date.
