Williams said the mission of AD’s Heartbeat is to illustrate love and care to everyone in this community.

“We will lend a helping hand to anyone that is in need,” he said. “In whatsoever we do, we will do it wholeheartedly, knowing that our labor is not in vain. We will endure hardship, refresh the community and inspire moments of optimism.”

Williams said on Dec. 28, 2020, God showed him a vision of team members and himself giving away items such as toiletry packages, food, fruit baskets, gift baskets, etc.

“The joy and smiles that I have obvserved are overwhelming,” Williams said. “When I woke up, I said to myself, ‘God, with your help, I will start an outreach program next month.’

“Then, I heard ‘AD’s Hearbeat’ in my spirit,” he said. “This outreach program will have random give-aways every quarter of the year.”

Williams added that he plans on giving away two $500 scholarships to two Escambia County High School seniors who have plans to attend college in the fall.

Williams said next Sat., March 27, from 3 p.m. until, the program will be holding a block party at Westside Park in Atmore.

“We will have games, bouncy houses and more,” he said. “This event is for the children to enjoy during their spring break. Due to the pandemic, families are not able to travel like in past years. We would like everyone to bring their children out to enjoy some fun in their community.”
