National Vietnam Veterans Day is being observed today in Atmore.

The day, which usually occurs on March 29 each year, is set aside to thank and honor all vietnam veterans.

Around downtown Atmore, some businesses tied yellow ribbons on the front of their doors or poles in remembrance of the veterans.
