Mrs. Ester “Boo Boo” Curry-Jett was born on March 23, 1951 to Mr. Bill Curry and Mrs. Essie Lee Walker-Canada in Mobile.

Mrs. Ester transitioned from time to eternity on April 1, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Essie Lee W. Canada and Bill Curry; three sisters, Mrs. Marva Lee Curry-Russell, Mrs. Carolyn “PeNut” Curry and Mrs. Sheila A. Hill; husband, Mr. William Jett; and three nieces, Teresa A. Russell, Carla Melissa Walker and Britteny Canada.

Those who will forever cherish her memories and share her legacy include three devoted sisters, Darnell (Robert) Nichols, Brenda Walker both of Atmore and Juanita (Theron) Mathis of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Larry (Gladys) Walker of Flomaton, Eric (Edith) Canada of Decatur, Matthew (Sonja) Curry of Akron, Ohio and Charles Herbert Curry of Middletown, N.Y.; two special and devoted nephews, Marvin Russell and LaKarlton Nye; five special nieces, Teresa Russell, Lisa Russell, Charlotte and Mya Riley and Angelica Dawson; two children she reared as her own, Shamika Craft and family and Kayli S. Johnson; a special friend, Tanotta Williams and family, Mrs. Ann Montgomery Johnson, Andrea Johnson-Carter, Carolyn Brown; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held this Sat., April 10, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center in Atmore.

Ministry of comfort has been entrusted to Mayberry Funeral Home of Atmore.
