Frances Drew Smith, 90, of Atmore, passed away on March 23, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Maggie Marshall Ardis; her first husband, Charles Drew; her second husband, Walter Smith; her infant daughter; her brother, Carl Ardis; and her sister, Nora Ardis Hadley.

She is survived by her sister, Carol Ardis Jordan of Frisco City; her sister in laws, Georgia Brooks of Atmore, Ann (Wayne) Sanders of Cartersville, Ga., Frances Ray Ardis of Franklin, Norma James of Monroeville, Ruth Covan of Montgomery and Mary Montgomery of Pensacola, Fla.; her lifelong friend, Thelma Bouler; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service was held on March 25, 2021 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Tew officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
