Members of the Escambia County School Board followed the recommendation to take the following action regarding school personnel during Thursday’s meeting:

Leave of Absence:

• Brandon Stophel, custodian at Escambia County High School, medical leave of absence effective Nov. 20, 2020 through March 28, 2021.

• Brittany Brown, kindergarten teacher at Flomaton Elementary School, effective May 21;

• Angela Davis, elementary teacher at Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective May 21;

• Angela Roman, math teacher at W.S. Neal Middle School effective May 21;

• Christopher Davis, teacher at W.S. Neal High School effective May 21;

• James Gosnell, math teacher at W.S. Neal High School effective May 21;

• Dudley Fountain, HVAC/Electrician with Atmore maintenance department, effective April 12.

Also during Thursday’s meeting the board approved the adoption of text books for the 2021-22 school year; approved the revised salary schedule for the 2020-2021 year to provide a salary schedule for “Academic Recovery Response Plan – Summer Program” rates; and approved a change allowing counselors to work up to an additional 20 hours off contract during summer 2021 at their daily rate.
