Ms. Evelyn Glenn Akers, 72, of Atmore (Freemanville Community), answered the master’s call on Mon., April 26, 2021 as a result of a house fire.

Those she is reunited with on the other side are her parents, Deacon Jethro Sr. and Lizzie Mae Dailey; and one sister, Clarice Dailey.

Those who are left to cherish loving memories of her life are her son, Sean Jermaine (Tanya) Dailey of Harrisburg, Pa.; her six grandchildren, Sean II, Sierra, Sydni, Aaliyah, Isaiah and Jeremiah, all of Harrisburg; six sisters, Zernice Valree, Mildred (Cleve) McKenzie, Neva Taylor,and Tongia Tucker, all of Atmore, and Mary Dailey and Wilhelmina Hielman, both of Huntsville; three brothers, Jethro Jr. (Jami) Dailey of Huntsville, Rickey Dailey and Erwin (LaVon) Dailey, all of Atmore; uncles and aunts, with a special uncle who was like a brother, Willie (Eartha) Jackson of Akron, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a special friend from high school, Willie Glen (Duke) Gray of New York.

Graveside service will be held this Sat., May 8, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Gregory Sanders officiating.

Walk through viewing will be held this Fri., May 7, 2021, at the funeral home from 2-5 p.m. with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
