James Edward Barnett, 78, passed away on April 27, 2021, in Brewton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry L. and Stella Trawick Barnett; one son, Bradley Scott Barnett; and his siblings, Kenneth Ray Barnett and Carl G. Barnett.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly Troutman Barnett; his children, James Randal (Suzanne Nix) Barnett of Atmore, Shannon Barnett (John) Dransfield of Daphne and Jason Robert (Whitney) Barnett of Citronelle; and his grandchildren, Molly Barnett, Carder Dransfield, Cade Barnett, Emma Barnett, Kinleigh Orso and Brice Barnett.

Graveside service was held on May 1, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore with the Rev. Albert Kennington officiating.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
