An Atmore juvenile died in a single-vehicle crash May 14 on Atmosphere Road, according to the Alabama Law Enforecement Agency.

Cpl. Jeremy Burkett said in a release that the crash occurred at approximately 7:23 p.m. yesterday.

Burkett said the 17 year old was driving a 2007 Ford Fusion when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

“The youth succumbed to his injuries caused by the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Burkett said in a release.

The crash occurred approximately 9 miles north of Atmore.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the crash.
